How a tidy home office can boost productivity?

When you work from home, you don't feel the pressure of keeping your workplace tidy. Especially, during the pandemic co-workers are unlikely to drop in. As beautiful as they are, few will notice your children's drawings on the fridge.

No one that will see the chaos, the wrong pieces turned around, not even the three mugs from yesterday's coffee, and notes.

The idea is not to keep things neat so people will think well of you, but to keep things organized so you will be comfortable and at peace. This organization contributes to your mental and physical wellbeing, so you're happy, motivated, and as a consequence -productive.

Yes, tidy workplace organized by your type of personality, by your taste, by your productivity and organizational habits is one of the essential parts of both - productivity and peak performance.

An organized workspace should envelop your personality. This is your safe place where you can be you. There have been too many times when you have perhaps tried hard, too hard, to be who everyone else wanted you to be. There isn't a right or wrong way. Make it work for you in your own way.

Do not tell me cleaning does not motivate you. The process - maybe. But how do you feel when you need to clean up a few inches of the table just to set your laptop compared to a stylish clean workplace? Different feeling, right?

With countless ways to save time, all of us find ways to add more to our to-do list. Relax. Make it fun. Isn't it easier to locate an item on your desk when you have it organized? I used to say, "Don’t worry, I know where everything is.” Of course, until I didn’t.

Sometimes our circumstances are the way that we cannot change much at this very moment, maybe your apartment is not in a style you like or needs to be renovated properly. Even the worst place you live in can be twisted a bit in a way that you will be able to create a workplace that will motivate you. Use things that work on you: posters, photo, notebook with fancy design, the pen you like, stickers - whatever works for you, make it your own, you 'owe the space'.

I lived for years in places I loathed. Who knows why I agreed for so much less than I deserved in my life. Even my relationships revolved around the same meandering “good enough” thinking.

Every day, I tried in some fashion to remove the dirt from my rut. I had reached my 'enough' moment. Now, I truly live a life I once admired in others.

Self-love rises above circumstances. You start living the life you always wanted. The same with the home you live in. You’re not a tree. You don’t have to stay where you are. I felt stuck too. You can move.

Think about it. The primary excuse you haven’t done more about your life is you still don't believe you deserve to have more. Many of us live this thrift shop thinking. That we have to live a hand me down life. We replace I can with, “I can't afford it.” “I’ll never be able to afford it.”

Something is always holding you back. But you will overcome this.

You know this is your time. Allow yourself to live better. Accept yourself, love yourself. There is beauty surrounding you right now. Start setting up separate pieces of what you love and like. Stop agreeing to a life of less. This is your time to turn your life around.

I’m here to help you. Because I have been there, together, we can change the world! Step by step.
