6 Habits of Successful People

Have you ever felt stuck? As though you were tethered and could not get to where you wanted to go or be who you want to be? Bound to the point that you were unable to free yourself? I understand. I have had prolonged periods where it felt conditions were weighed on my shoulders. Regardless of my efforts, I was destined for my situation. Why was I feeling trapped? I constantly seemed to shovel the dirt of a rut I created, back onto myself.

Yet, I masqueraded as a victim.

Especially with the uncertainty surrounding this pandemic, we still must do something significant about it. Allowing ourselves to find the eventual comfort of a rut trains us to become victims. We are not responsible. So, we wait for the government, work, or anyone to charge to our rescue.

I have been there.

I strongly encourage you to be proactive about getting yourself out of a “good enough” life and career.

Do this:

  1. Be honest with yourself.
  2. Take complete and absolute responsibility for where you are and how you got here. Blame is for children.
  3. Do not make every step small and significant.
  4. Make an absolute promise that you will create the routines that make you better every day.

Eliminate any negative speaking about others. Especially towards yourself. Everybody is trying o remake their lives too. As we focus on the good that surrounds us, we’ll come up with solutions we hadn’t thought possible.

We cannot be depressed and grateful at the same time.

While it may be human nature for some people to cast fault as to why they have not achieved more, the hard truth is our choices landed us here. We are the result of our choices.

Yes, yes, bad outcomes do happen to good people. Do any of us want to be a victim even if we were not at fault? Our decisions or indecisiveness contribute to the conditions we find ourselves in.

Being successful does not generally happen accidentally. Authentic success molds us. The more responsibility we assume for our own life and career, the sooner we live the rewards of our thinking and actions.

Wherever you are at this stage of your life and career we can help you. We’ll give you the confidence and tools to have a successful relationship in all areas of your life.
