You Decide How Successful You’ll Become

Do you have a dream? Did you have one when you were a child? Which of your goals have you achieved?

We all come to this world to learn things. But, the truth is – once we stop learning and growing intellectually – that’s not a ‘life’ anymore - it is an existence.

We learn to walk, and we learn to talk, we develop our interests and learn to become good at it, and we go about growing our careers, raising families, and making a difference. We guide almost on autopilot – typical societally accepted sequence – education, career, family, retirement. But unfortunately, many of us go through life without that guide light and come to the point where something doesn’t feel right, and we know we miss something. Society often refers to this process as the ‘middle-age crisis.’ But for some, it doesn’t happen; for some, it lasts for decades.

We are all different, but the secret is the same – now or at any other point of our lives, we know we want self-realization, achieve something that matters to us and be recognized by others, and live the way we feel it. But, of course, easier said than done, right?

While it is not that easy, it is also easy – the first step and the main one is all the same for every one of us – decision.

No one holds you back as you do. But, the truth is – and it might sound ‘inconvenient’ – you are one decision away from your success, from the dreams to come true. Why? Because once you decide, your mind is looking for solutions and you’ll keep trying and pushing until you get where you want to be. Before making a decision, your mind will keep making excuses for why you can’t get where you dream of being. Sounds simple? Yes, it is that simple.

What else do you need? Making this decision is step one – and one of the most critical steps. After that – you need an action plan. And you need to act. But frankly – planning and working on your plan is much easier when you finally decide to succeed.

Your mind will try to play tricks on you, such as:

- Self-confidence and impostor syndrome – ‘Do I deserve this? Am I good enough?’

- Comparison – ‘they are better, they achieved more at the same age, they have more help, born in money…’

Those tricks are excused that your brain puts into your system to slow you down and distract you. Once you decide to be successful, these problems will be more manageable.

In addition, your body might react to your brain with fatigue and sometimes pains initiated by anxiety. It’s quite a complex process, but once you learn to overcome those problems – you’ll see the world in different colors. And you deserve it – to live better, be happy, gain complete satisfaction from your job, and much more.

Thus, do yourself a favor and make that decision – your step one – the decision to be successful!
